Queen & Adam Lambert | Live at Perth Arena

August 22nd, 2014 | Perth Arena

Australians let us all rejoice our ears are blessed with Queen! We’ve waited 20 years for them and they finally came.

If you missed it then you missed the concert of a lifetime. Queen and Adam Lambert did not disappoint. In fact, it was all your wildest dreams come true, with wall shaking sound, energetic lighting, leather…lots of leather, and some serious sex appeal from Adam Lambert.

The crowd got the excitement rolling with Freddie Mercury impersonators scattered through the stands giving it their all. Then the lights dimmed, the guitars started their magic and Now I’m Here coursed through your body. Lambert’s voice reverberated around the arena and, when the curtain dropped, you knew you were up for a night to remember.

Every song you wanted to hear was played; if you wanted to rock out, sway, cry – they did it all for you. Lambert’s stage presence is insane and his voice is out-of-this-world phenomenal. Top that with two legends, Brian May and Roger Taylor, and you have something so very unique and special. Favourite highlight of the night: a drum-off between Roger Taylor and Rufus ‘Tiger’ Taylor. These boys are a force to be reckoned with.

If anyone was worried that Adam Lambert couldn’t live up to Freddie’s standards then rest assured you will not be let down. The beauty was that he didn’t try to become Mercury, but rather just sang from the heart of a superstar. With some clever tech from the production team, they brought Freddie back to us for duets in a few songs, including quintessential anthem, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Queen + Adam Lambert you are the champions.
