Movement are the name of the latest musical wizards to barge out of the loaded stables of Sydney’s Modular Records (Tame Impala, Cut Copy, Presets, The Avalanches, Klaxons). Moulding aspects of whispered low-tempo PBR’n’B – made famous by artists like The Weeknd & How To Dress Well, keys, as well as atmospheric layering from James Blake, and even guitar riffs of almost Bombino sized proportions; these three Aussie lads are on track to stamping their authority on the force that is the Australian electronic scene. With the aid of sublime production from the likes of the aforementioned Abel Tesfaye, the group is able to integrate all these different elements into one spell-bounding soundscape.

Movement have already chalked up support slots on Solange and Darkside‘s recent local tours, as well as recently announcing their own headline shows in not only Australia, but also in the US and Europe. Their globetrotting announcements come as no surprise, though. Today marks the release date for their debut self-titled EP, which we can tell is going to be an absolute doozy!

Don’t sleep on this trio, the Vicious Children are already screaming out like Oliver Twist after hearing the preview to their EP, and trust us, you will too.
