The Dø Release Second Single Despair, Hangover & Ecstasy

Get a load of this song. Following on from the release of their third studio album Shake Shook ShakenThe Dø (a French/Finnish duo) have released a second single, titled Despair, Hangover & Ecstasy.  Abundant, emotionally strong, full of surprises and sonic innovations, the lyrics themselves speak of a whirlwind adventure, “What freaking promises / We trigger avalanches unwillingly, oh” and “We trigger hurricanes unwillingly.” They talk about a lack of emotive control, resulting in despair, ecstasy and hangovers. As a second single, the song encapsulates the brevity of the album, a futuristic-electronic vibrancy.

Shake Shook Shaken is currently sitting at #1 on the overall Album Chart on iTunes in France. The Do have received regular radio airplay in Australia, since first touring in 2009. The Dø are performing at So Frenchy So Chic In The Park (2015). We were fortunate to have the opportunity to speak with Olivia Merilahti recently about their Australian return and newest album, so pop back to have a read of what she had to say.
