the furrs Drop New Single 66

We’re big fans of the furrs at VC even before Simone chatted with them earlier this year. Blues-rock band the furrs, comprised of Gabriella Cohen and Jim Griffin – songwriters in their early 20’s – have recently dropped their latest tune titled 66, following the release of radio jam Get On Your Horse. It’s a throwback reference to the infamous Route 66, an infamous and famous highway and the subject of many blues/rock songs. Griffin’s lazy drawl inspires you to take a dirty, spontaneous roadtrip down the route, thrashing to this fat-paced, gritty ditty.

The furrs have had an extremely busy year; they’ve supported the US band Cults and Aus’ DMA’s . Their latest EP is due to be dropped in 2015.  The Brisbane rock duo have also recently signed by American booking agency High Road Touring, repped by High Road’s Matt Hickey following their performing at BIGSOUND. Other acts he also books for includes Australiam Portugal. The Man, Alabama Shakes and Bloc Party.
