ZHU – Faded

The mysterious lord of 2014 dance music ZHU, has just released the official video for his track Faded. Steven Zhu, singer/producer from Los Angeles, is still largely unknown due to the fact that he refuses to promote his music or reveal any personal information about himself. He has, however, recently released a statement stating:

“Many are wondering why I chose to release my music anonymously. I am my own ghostwriter. As a society, we become more attached to the creator than to the creation. Music is faceless. My music is for a new generation—one in which people appreciate art for its intrinsic value—Generation WHY.”

The man has a point. I could care less about what he had for breakfast or a selfie of him at the zoo looks like, as long as he is churning out music of this quality. The video is set in the Parisian district of Montmartre and isn’t earth-shatteringly creative, but the song is. If you haven’t already, give another listen to this sublime piece of funky deep-house – aided by black and white club scenes Paris has to offer.
